Summary

Although the regulations of Expeditions to the Inca Trail, says that reservations must be made 5 days before, it is best to make the reservation at least 60 days before the departure date. For conservation reasons, the Institution in charge of maintaining this tourist destination has limited entry to 500 people per day, including guides, porters and support staff. So it is necessary to pay the permits in advance.

Itinerary

FIRST DAY | KM 82 - WAYLLABAMBA

We will start your trip by picking you up at your hotel at 06:00 AM to drive from Cusco to Ollantaytambo and then to Km. 82. Here we will have to register to enter the Inca Trail and we will meet all the staff members who will do the trek with us. From km 82, we will hike gently for 2 hours until we reach our lunch spot known as Miskay. After lunch, we will take a short rest and then we will continue our adventure for 4 more hours until we reach Huayllabamba. On the way, we will be able to see the archaeological site of Patallacta. Finally, in Huayllabamba, we will have dinner prepared for us and then we will have a restful rest in the tents of our camp.

SECOND DAY - WAYLLABAMBA | PACAYMAYO

During the morning, we will drink coca tea to help us acclimatize more to the altitude. Soon after, we will have a hearty breakfast prepared by our trail chef. With this energy, we will begin the adventure of our second day! We will walk around 5 hours to reach the top of the mountain called Warmihuañusca. There, we will have an incredible view of the Andes! After enjoying these panoramic views and resting, we will go down for about 1 hour until we reach our lunch spot. After lunch, we will continue walking until we reach Pacaymayo, where we will spend the rest of the afternoon resting and relaxing before going back to sleep in our tents

THIRD DAY - PACAYMAYO | WIÑAYWAYNA

After having a good coca tea and having breakfast, we will continue walking on the Inca Trail. We start in Pacaymayo and pass through the archaeological site of Sayaqmarca. After visiting the beautiful Inca structures here, we will stop for lunch. After lunch, we will continue walking until we reach Wiñaywayna (Always Young) where we will set up our tents and camp for dinner and sleep.

FOURTH DAY - EL DÍA MÁS IMPORTANTE - MACHU PICCHU!

Today’s Highlights: Your excitement for our Machu Picchu encounter will increase as you make your way early in the morning through the forest to reach the Puerta del Sol which overlooks the entire grandiose site! You will have plenty of time to explore this magnificent wonder of the world while enjoying the beautiful sunrise from this once-in-a-lifetime vantage point. Your group will learn about this mystical place on a two-hour guided tour of the ruins. Afterwards, you can choose to climb Huayna Picchu or Machupicchu Mountain (if you have reserved tickets) or hike to the Inca Bridge (without additional tickets).

Itinerario

FIRST DAY - Beginning of the Inca Trail

This first day we pick you up from the hotel in Cusco very early to transfer you by road to Chilca, 88 km away. In this place we will contact porters, cooks and the necessary equipment for the excursion. We will start the walk bordering the Urubamba river to reach Patallaqta, where we will have lunch. We continue our journey crossing the Huayllabamba Valley to reach Llullucayoc, where we will camp and have a pleasant dinner. Overnight…

SECOND DAY - Inca Trail

After breakfast we will continue with our walk, appreciating beautiful landscapes and as the flora changes as we advance, we will reach the highest point of the “WARMIWUAÑUSCA” pass (where women die) at 4200 meters above sea level, from where we will have a panoramic view of the snowy peaks, valleys and surrounding mountains.

THIRD DAY - Inca Trail

Breakfast. We leave early ascending towards Runcuracay archaeological zone at 3,700 meters above sea level. We then continue towards Sayacmarka where we will rest and have lunch. Continuing our walk to PUYUPATAMARCA (City above the Clouds), an impressive Inca City. We continue through Wiñaywayna at 2,690 meters above sea level. located in the jungle where we will have dinner and camp. In this camp you will have the option of showers with hot water. FOURTH DAY - Inca Trail

This last day you will have to get up very early to have breakfast and start our walk to Inti Punku or Puerta del Sol, from where you have an impressive panoramic view of the citadel. Upon arrival in Machupicchu, we will take a guided tour of the citadel, visiting the main sites, such as the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Royal Rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows and the cemeteries. Free time to walk around the citadel and then be transferred by bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included). In the afternoon return to Cusco by train. End of services.

FIRST DAY - WIÑAYWAYNA - MACHUPICCHU

We pick you up at 05:45 hrs. from the hotel and we take you to the train station, where you will board the train to Km 104, on the way you will see picturesque landscapes, upon arrival we begin our walk. From the archaeological group of “Chachabamba” (2250 mts) we climb in approx. 2 1/2 hours to the fascinating archaeological group of “Wiñaywayna” (2650 mts) where we enjoy a pick nick. In the afternoon we continue through the semi-tropical forest towards the “Intipunku” (the gate of the sun) from where we can enjoy the first panoramic view of the majestic “Machu Picchu”. From here we walk down to the town of Aguas Calientes where you can optionally visit the thermal baths and spend the night comfortably in a hostel, this being the Inka Tambo Hostel, the Continental Hostel, Jardín Real Hostel, among others according to availability.

SECOND DAY - MACHUPICCHU - CUSCO

After breakfast we board the first bus to Machupicchu to enjoy the sunrise from this magical place before the arrival of other tourists from Cusco. We will enjoy the tranquility of the lost city of the Incas on a guided tour, having free time. In the afternoon we go down by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes where we will board the train back to Ollantaytambo. Transfer to the hotel.

FIRST DAY: CITY TOUR IN LIMA WITH VISIT TO HUACA PUCLLANA

We will start our tour through the modern residential districts of Miraflores and San Isidro. At around 1:00 p.m., we will leave your hotel to start the tour to the city of Cusco and its surroundings. SECOND DAY: TOUR TO THE SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS

We will pick you up between 8:00 a.m. and 8:20 a.m. to start the tour, making a stop at the Corao natural viewpoint, where the guide will give an introduction to the Sacred Valley.

Enjoying this beautiful landscape, the first place to visit will be the Traditional Inca Market of Pisaq. Here you can do some shopping for souvenirs or handicrafts and then go up to the Archaeological Center of Pisaq, where after a short walk you will reach the main Inca sites. Continuing with the trip, they will go to the city of Urubamba to an exclusive restaurant, where they will taste the local gastronomy. The fortress and citadel of Ollantaytambo will be our stop in the afternoon.

Finally we will go to the Ollantaytambo train station, to board the train at 4:30 p.m. to Aguas Calientes, arriving at approximately 6:10 p.m. We will spend the night at the selected hotel in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo).

After breakfast in the early hours of the day, we will go up to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, followed by an excursion with a guided service for approximately 2 hours through the citadel. On the tour you will visit the most important places in this city such as: the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, The Royal Rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows and The Cemeteries. After the tour of the citadel of Machu Picchu, optionally you can do the trekking to the summit of Huaynapicchu or Mountain Sector, this will take a few hours between round trips (this visit is without a guided service). Then we will go down by bus to Aguas Calientes and in the afternoon we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our staff will be waiting to carry out the transfer and transportation by bus to the city of Cusco and take you to your hotel

FOURTH DAY: TOUR TO THE HUMANTAY LAGOON

We will pick you up from your respective hotel between 4:45 am and 5:30 am, to then travel in our private transport to the town of Mollepata, located in the exuberant Valley of the Apurímac River. After a well-deserved breakfast to fill us with energy, we will continue our trip to Soraypampa (3,900 masl) after a short rest, we will begin our walk to the Humantay lagoon, located at 4,200 mt. After the ascent of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, we will be able to appreciate such a wonderful place and we will return to our camp. Here we will have our lunch with beautiful panoramic views of the snow-capped peaks and later you will be transferred to the city of Cusco, we will leave you in the center of the city (near the Plaza de Armas)

FIFTH DAY: FAREWELL AND AIR TRAVEL FROM CUSCO TO LIMA

FOURTH DAY: TOUR TO THE MOUNTAIN OF COLORS VINICUNCA

Very early in the morning at 4:00 a.m., we will pass by your hotel in our private tourist transport, to move along the route to the south of the city of Cusipata -Paucarpata. The tour will last approximately 2 hours, where we will enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast (scrambled eggs, cheese, ham, fruit salad, hot drinks, etc.).
